Track Club News Update

A few quick notes:
  • congratulations to the Lydia Frost's performances at the Atlantics
  • today was the 1st annual St Stephen 1/2 marathon with a good showing of many local athletes. Results will be in the Courier later in the week
  • don't forget the Tuesday night track meet at the Fundy High track from 4 to 6pm. See you all there!

Frost Breaks Decades Old Record

Congratulations go out to local athletes, Lydia and Nadine Frost, for their superb performances at the Quebec Indoor Championships on March 4. There is also a summary at the Athletic NB website with the current standing records.
Good work ladies! Hard work does pay off!

Maine USATF Indoor State Open Meet

As recently reported in the Saint Croix Courier, Lydia Frost posted outstanding performances in the 400m and 800m events. Results and pictures are here.

Local Athletes Brave Hypothermic 1/2

Congratulations go out to several local athletes who competed in the Hypothermic 1/2 Marathon in Saint John on Feb. 25, 2006. Kelly MacDonald, Kurt Gumushel and Steven Goodine all came in with good times, under 2 hrs, on what was a cold blustery day for this hilly point to point course.

Charlotte county athlete Nadine Frost won both of her events in the 800m and 1500m runs at the NB Indoor Championships meet held at Oromocto, N.B. this weekend on Feb. 10, 2007. Great work Nadine!

A place for news

Hey folks,

This blog is intended to be a place for news, results and various activities by the Charlotte County Track Club located in good ole Charlotte County, NB.

The idea being that since a blog is easy to use and put up pictures and information on the web and will also allow visitors to leave comments and suggestions.

First up we'll introduce a few people involved with the club whose main goal is to promote athletics in our area.
  • Head Coach - Verne Cunningham

  • Officials - Brian Frost

  • Member at Large - Kurt Gumushell

  • Secretary/Treasurer - Mike Power
Our main event each year is the St. Andrews Father's Day road race but we also are involved in the Run-Jump-Throw program from Athletics New Brunswick, the Legion Zone Meets, Coaching and Officials Clinics and supporting various local athletes.
